So sad of the wolf that howls,

When he’s shot at night,

Who gives these hunters any right,

As one cries to the moon so bright,

Watching one of his own lay and die,

The beautiful wolf that goes into the light,

So sad it will make you cry,

So sad of the wolf when he cries his song,

No one can see, that it’s the pack where they belong,

That’s the way it’s meant to be,

We must fight for our brother,

For them to stay as one,

We must protect them,
